Hi, this is my first post and I would like to thank you for visiting. I have always had pets and my favourite has always been my Pyrenean Mountain Dogs. These big lovable animals are fantastic with children and smaller pets like cats and chickens, in fact just about any other animal is safe when these gentle giants are around. They're difficult to train because they are so independent but make for amazing guard and companion dogs. They don't eat as much as you might expect. I've always had an interest in dog health care because when things go wrong with a Pyr they are usually quite big.
As with most pedigreed pets, my Pyrs have had some health issues. Most are related to the that they ate. I always thought that the premium commercial pet food was best. What a mistake. After being involved in a cat food manufacturing venture with my wife, we discovered the big secret concerning pet food. It's a secret they'd rather you didn't discover. It's all the junk they can get away with puting in your pet's food. Even poisons that are outlawed in human food.
We had changed our dogs onto a healthy raw food diet and wanted to manufacture a holistic cat food. It was then that we discovered how bad the ingredients in commercial pet foods are. Poisons abound and they aren't even allowed in human food. People don't realise that they're killing their pets by feeding this junk .
